In the summer of 2023, Agami began exploring the workings of justice in the context of the environment. They were struck by Ecologist Dr Aparna Watve and activist-lawyer Hema Ramani’s efforts towards restoring the Panchgani Tableland. Their fight addressed the vast chasm in our ability to understand the needs, rhythms and realities of the non human living world.

Agami reached out to us with this incredibly powerful story, which we developed into a visual narrative collaborating with Aditi Kim Karolil and Sachin Malhan in developing it.

It’s been the loveliest story to bring to life, talking about the evolution of an environmental change maker and how this space can only benefit from an openness to unlearn, cross disciplinary collaboration and a deep, deep empathy for the living world.
