about us

Paus is a Goa-based Visual Storytelling Studio, with a focus on Animation Film making. Derived from the word for rain in Marathi (and very similar to the word “Pavas” in Konkani), our name encapsulates the joy, familiarity and feeling of home we associate with the monsoons in Goa.

As individuals, we bring five years of experience to the table, focused on Research-informed storytelling, crafting animated films and music videos, impact-focused storytelling, comics, and working on commercial projects with a storytelling focus.

As Paus, we hope to continue telling stories and designing visual narrative-led solutions across multiple formats, including animated films, films, comics and illustration.

Saket Ghaisas (he/him) is an Animation Filmmaker, zine enthusiast and amateur experimental sound artist.

An alumni of the National Institute of Design, he has experience in research informed storytelling, comics, animation filmmaking and music videos. Saket enjoys the occult and the weird, making short films and befriending all the cats.

Deepti Megh (she/her) is a visual storyteller and Animation Filmmaker. An alumni of the National Institute of Design, she has experience in research-informed storytelling, animation film making, and nonfiction comics.

Her work ranges across themes like environment and conservation, mental health, gender and sexuality. She enjoys archiving her life through journals and comics, creating music videos and telling stories.
